This is inspiring.

Over a decade of commitment to the task itself, diligent blogging of the whole experience, and a website design that brings me back to my favorite time on the web. Beautiful.

Wandrer [0] is a good site if you want to do something like this in your own town. It integrates with Strava and automatically imports your walks/rides and tracks your progress on the map, which lets you see where you’ve been and what streets you still need to conquer.

It doesn’t have any routing features, so you’ll still have to plan your own routes, but it is pretty mobile friendly.

idea, we should make a "feel good" website similar to https://slowroads.io/ that literally lets you autopilot your car through every road in new york. hell scale it up to every road in the world. have a system to track how many kms / miles has been driven and the drivers with the highest scores. Even Ad companies at some point would be interested in showing ads every few kms which can be circumvented by a paid sub

I like this idea. I've often used StreetView to go back to places where I used to live or work to see what they look like now. This could be an extended version of the same thing.

I wonder how many times he was mugged or shot at doing his walk?

NYC's homicide rate is lower than that of the USA as a whole. Violence is very avoidable, especially during the daytime.
