> “It’s not just about Israel,” Karp told CNBC last year(opens in new tab). “It’s like, ‘Do you believe in the West? Do you believe the West has created a superior way of living?’”

Hilarious quote from the terrifying police state guy.

Interesting that Sam and Jessica Lessin led a group of founders to Israel and tried to meet up with Ehud Barak there. Should The Information disclose that when they cover Israel? I'm not sure, but it does seem like relevant context?

I imagine the fact that the biggest political conspiracy theory of the past like 50 years crosses path with the most divisive element of the Republicans platform is going to lead to some challenges holding together the current coalition on the right.

Curious how this impacts JD Vance’s nomination being so directly tied to SV. If the pro-Israel contingent on the right wins, then probably positively? But then JD Vance is very much a new coalition that is not MAGA/America First or whatever.

For sure, I think Vance has always taken a more balanced approach to Israel than some people like to admit. When you listen to his speeches, he mostly focuses on Christian issues -- basically ignoring the core of the issue. He's clearly sympathetic to the Israel-wing of the party, but hasn't stretched so far that you could confidently call him pro-Israel

Yeah, interesting: Prosor was impressed by Suster’s outspokenness and reached out to someone with whom he had been building a relationship all year: Thiel. “I really love the way Suster defended Israel,” he wrote. “Do you have his contact number so I can call him and commend him for standing up for Israel??”
